The program is easy to follow

Your first session is an-hour, long one-on-one meeting with Peggy.  You can come alone, or you can bring a family member or friend with you.  It's recommended. During this time, you can get to know Peggy, and you will become familiar with the program’s recommendations. At the same time, she will learn what you need to be successful. You will be able to take home reading materials that will reinforce the program’s suggestions.

After your first meeting, you will have the tools you need to begin lowering your blood sugar numbers. Because no one is expected to master these skills overnight, you can always email Peggy with any questions or concerns that you have. You will also have the chance to meet with Peggy in a small group setting twice a month. Meeting with other people who also have diabetes people lets you give and get guidance and support from others who have similar experiences and concerns. Group sessions last 1 1/2 hours.

Each group session focuses on the important topics of food and exercise for lowering blood sugar and covers other topics such as blood sugar monitoring and medications and discusses the health complications related to diabetes according to the class schedule. You will be given a cases schedule at your first meeting with Peggy.

It's that easy!
